OVERVIEW
These articles cover the basics of getting your Zop account set up. If you are someone who likes to self-teach and try things out yourself, this is a great place to start!
There are two main things to accomplish when getting started with Zop:
- Getting your account set up, and
- Learning How to use Zop Software
First things first, let's get your settings ready.
SET UP YOUR ACCOUNT
These are the settings that will get your account set up and ready for work. Settings can be accessed by navigating to the bottom left corner of your screen and clicking the Account Settings, User Settings, or Inventory Settings. You must be an admin user to access settings.
Step 1: User settings— Add or edit user info such as your full name, salesperson registration number, phone number, email, and time zone.
Step 2: Email Settings— Add or edit the email details, that clients will see when they fill out any lead form on your website, such as your company name, phone number, email, and address.
Step 3: Branding & setting up PDF templates— Review your company logo & business details, window-sticker, Bill-of-sale, and other forms.
Step 4: Tax rates— Add tax rates and location details for accurate accounting.
Step 5: Get the Zop App— Download the app so your team can view and manage inventory in real-time.
ADVANCED ACCOUNT SET UP
Once you've made it through the basics, these are some next steps to finish getting your settings in order. These can wait until you're a bit more familiar with Zop but are still good to do early on so that you have everything in place for when you're up and running with Zop.
Step 1: Cost Settings— Add default costs under Cost Settings that you will like to add to every new vehicle. (eg: transportation, photos, detailing, etc.)
Step 2: Fee Settings— Add default fees under Fee Settings that you will like to add to every new deal. (eg. OMVIC Fee/ AMVIC Fee, Doc Fee, Finance fee, etc.)
Step 3: Warranty Settings— Add warranty packages under Warranty Settings. These packages can be selected from the dropdown at the deal level.
Step 4: Download & Install Facebook Marketplace Posting Tool
Step 5: Integrate Social Connect to automate postings to your facebook business page, Instagram, & Google My Business.
ZOP WORKFLOW
Below we go over the typical workflow in Zop Software
Step 1: Inventory— Inventory is the first step in the Zop workflow. An Inventory can be created from the computer or directly from your mobile app.
Step 2: Syndication— Sync your inventory with ease and then send it to different portals (eg. Kijiji, Autotrader, Car Gurus, etc.)
Step 3: Leads— Leads can be created either internally or submitted by your clients online. Leads then can be converted to a customer and deals depending on what your next steps are.
Step 4: Deals— It's time to create a bill of sale for your client for a specific vehicle they are interested in. Create a bill of sale, print it, email it off, and collect your deposit.
Step 5: Profit Reports— Congrats! You've sold a vehicle. Now it's time to review your profit/loss reports.
